Help Sarah Raise Money For The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

TEAM IN TRAINING (TNT)

TNT is the largest endurance sports training program in the world. Each year The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society organizes 200 teams of volunteers to participate in more than 40 accredited marathons in the U.S. and abroad. An additional 40 teams participate in century rides across the country and inline skating and triathlon events have recently been added to the program. Annually, more than 30,000 people-representing a wide range of ages, experience and athletic ability-volunteer with Team In Training to support the Society's mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

I joined the team mid-January and immediately started training for the Rock-n-Roll Marathon. The marathon takes place June 3, 2001 and after all is said and done, I will have run over 600 miles to train for the event!

I was given a fundraising goal of $3600 and the money that I raise will stay in Michigan to support local researchers, like the University of Michigan, Wayne State University and The Barbara Karmanos Institute.

Please help me in my mission!! There's lots of info in the Donate section and be sure to see the links for running info and the official TNT website. Be sure to sign the guestbook...with words of support--I certainly need them! I'll be updating weekly to let you know how well (hopefully not how bad) the training is going. Check back often!
